1. I must do well and win the approval of others or else I am no good.
This idea deals with your expectations from your own self.
This leads to strong feeling of depression, anxiety and overall worthlessness.
This person may look procrastinating or shy or unassertive or workaholic.
2.Other people must do the right thing or else they are no good and deserve to be punished.
This idea is similar to the 1st basic must, here you have direct these viewpoints towards other people instead of self.
This leads to anger, rage and bitterness.
This person may look aggressive or violent or ha may be bullying or nagging person.
3. Life must be easy, without discomfort or inconvenience.
I must get what I want, when I want and must not get what I don't want, its terrible if I don't get what I want and I can't stand it.
This leads to depression, self pity.
This person may look procrastinating may be taking alcohol or drugs.
Introduction to REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy)
REBT stand for Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy.
REBt was designed by Dr Albert Ellis in 1955.
